MTA Bus Operations: Deliveries, Moves & Transfers

The following 5 buses arrived to LGA from JAM. 8860, 8864, 8867, 8872 and 8928. However the buses that WENT TO JAM will return TO LGA in due time. BTW, 8928 is NOW on the Q-49.<--- 8928 WAS at JAM as of yesterday.

My guess is since those cry babies over there couldnt get the xd60 mta is just going to give them back there lfsa. I dont know if all are going back though.

wow, this seems outta left field, but I guess the new artics are just gonna bump back the 5800s to quill instead of the older RTSs then. Bummer.

@acela/knice since 9076 is retired is it stripped down for parts etc? are any other 1996 Novas O/S to be transfered? Many Thanks for the help. Also Thank you for sending 9081/9082 to LGA.

I don't know why CP can't help with LGA's shortage. I would just give the Q49 and Q29 to CP until LGA gets new buses.

That's a good question. How many total buses has CP lost since they got taken over by MTA Bus and how many buses has LGA had to take on since it was acquired? I know Triboro was pretty bad, but it seems like they didn't have as many buses then as they do now. Queens really needs a 3rd depot to help take off the work load. That or they really need to allow MTA Bus to give up some lines to NYCT like CS, JAM, etc.

Yup for the Q10, I just drove by and saw them myself. 5463 & 93 were pulled from storage, 5341 came from KB. I will get pictures and try to post them tomorrow.

They never stayed there, Well I know that they send them back to SC to get fueled and i think they go back and get them the next day.

So when are they going to renumber 5341? I'm still not liking the whole renumbering system. Should've stuck with 6000s or go back to the 1290s thru 1300s and save themselves all this trouble.
