It might be there for repairs.. Remember the last time we thought they were there for repairs and they went in service. Those 07's Out of Service might be a re-call. Gleason is short now even though they have C40's that's still not enough.

Did the O5's get to JG havent seen them in service or in the lot

Maybe this is why I keep seeing at least 30% non-BusTime units on the B61/B63...

Them buses been at JG, you wont see them because they're inside in the middle of the building or towards the front. Only way you'll see them is if you get inside. It's a nice building to explore though..

Yeah because they're short. They have 16 C40's (GPS) in service, 4 out of commission, 18 Orion VII CNG's in service, 36 out of commission, BTW 4989 & 8859 moved to JG just now for work, 4965/8947 back to ENY.

So when a depot is short...having almost 40 buses OOS....does this mean they just cut some of the rush hour frequencies? For ex...if a bus route runs every 4-5mins they'll just cut some of those buses?

 

Btw i saw 7615 on the B70

If they depot is short, they'll call over to Maintenance in the depot and see if they can take some buses out of service and use them. Has to be approved by the Foreman though. Anything can go wrong, they don't cut any service. The buses that are out there they either pick up a double/triple headway. Service is NOT to be cut, the run just wont be covered or they will run late. Another thing is.. say for example if the bus driver is going to pull in and there's a lot of runs open that haven't been covered the dispatcher may ask you to cover one of them or they'll put it in as O/T upstairs.

Lol, right! This is worth taking a drive out there.. Just have to find the time to do it..

 

Nice. Might go tomorrow to catch them.

They should be out tomorrow. You know LGA doesn't waste time putting buses in service they'll take whatever they can get!

 I was actually imagining this sort of scenario a few days ago, with 5000 Novas at LGA. What's next, the 6000 Orions? MCIs?
