so ENY had 9440-9445 & the B8 used to be out of ENY? Wow Im learning all over the place tonight lol

I believe it was only to 9443 (whichever was the highest 9400 in Flatbush at the time). And yes, B8 was in ENY from 1998-2002 before being assigned to JG & extended to Rockaway Av. Prior to that, it was assigned to Ulmer Park.

I hope they stay. Although i'm not a 3G fan, Castleton is MURDERING those buses...my god.

They would be in better hands at Charleston.

Well, they are for service. Not sure for how long though. It has nothing to do with any kind of shortage.

years ago, back in, like 1998, 1999, Flatbush gave Eat New York 9440-945? and that surprised me. Not as surprised when those buses also hit the streets coming from Gleason, along with 5225-5249, which were originally assigned to JG.

5205-5249 were originally assigned to Kingsbridge. The arrival of the high 5400s to 5509 displaced them to East New York (5205-29) and Gleason (5230-49). Those buses were then displaced to East New York upon the arrival of the 800s and 900s, which resulted in the retirement/scattering of the other RTSs (8500s to FP, 8398-99 to Command, and the 3000s lower 4000s mostly to retirement, and the 4600s and 4700s to Flatbush, Fresh Pond, and Kingsbridge).
