If for the re-numbering of 7423 - 7428 of MCI D4500 does happened.? I would renumber to 3475 , 3476 , 3477 , 3478 , 3479 , 3480... The original of 2004 MCI D4500 order for (MTA) bus.3000 - 3480. Or 7423 - 7428 will retire 2002 unit MCI D4500.

7423-7428 is a MCI D4500 unit from MTA Bus, just like NYCT (2140-2209,2755-2924) ..

Crunching the numbers of what is here already and seeing the additional Xcellsiors now coming to UP, the final assignments for the initial 321 is becoming clearer.   I'll admit that I complain about speculation, but sufficient numbers are in now to make logical conclusions.  We'll see where other 72 (?) are going later.

 

ENY: 7090-7139 (50) originally set to get 66, 16 buses short.

UP: 7140-7192 (53) originally set to get 23.  Looks like they will not get the 30 Nova LFS.

GRAND: 7193-7254 (62) originally set to get 76. 14 buses short. 

FP: 7255-7303 (49) exactly what they were set to get.

FLAT: 7304-7365 (62) exactly what they were set to get.

LGA: 7366-7410 (45)

 

Notice ENY is 16 buses short and GRAND is 14 buses short.  Those 30 go to Ulmer Park making it logically unnecessary for them to get the 30 NOVA LFS.  The NOVA LFS (414 total) can be divied up amongst the depots scheduled to get them originally: 66 in each of the 3 SI depots that do local routes, 41 GH, 40 KB, 82 Jamaica and 23 QV. Perhaps the extra 30 originally set to go to UP can go to Stengel or QV.

 

Again, expect anything to happen,  This is totally my hypothesis on how the end product will be based in what has already come in.

Ok.. What will West Farms Depot get they lost 3 Nova Bus LFS 5965 , 5966 , 5967 to Michael J. Quill Depot.. They got 5267 from Michael J. Quill Depot . So where is 5268 ,5269 to West Farms Depot.. So When will 5268 - 5269 come to West Farms Depot... If 5822 went to Gun Hill Depot.. So will it make sense 5820 - 5821 come to Gun Hill Depot from Casey Stengal Depot . As Gun Hill Depot & Kingsbridge Depot are sharing 5770 - 5819 , 5822 , if 5820 - 5821 come to Gun Hill Depot.. So what articulated bus will West Farms Depot get from Michael J.Quill Depot ..

If this XD40 order is replacing the 1996 RTS' (Which it is?) then could part of the 72 order be going to LGA and the rest to JFK/FR? I know this sounds like an opinion and what not, but I mean, it could happen... LGA is getting 45 in the main order, and they have 86 RTS'... if the MTA decides they wanna get ride of those remaining ones there, and JFK/FR have 22 1996 RTS'...

My dude, this thread is not for speculation. This thread is more for reporting moves from depot to depot.

It was stated that the 72 additional ones are for NYCT to replace the rest of the 1999 Orion V's.  Apparently NYCT had 72 Id'ed to get a bit more mileage out of but they relented.

 

The 45 were added to the first order to specifically go to MTA bus.  LGA is getting them.

 

A bunch of artics will be coming to MTA bus for JFK to replace their current Galaxies, and to Baisley Park where they can send some of their 40' hybrids to JFK and LGA to replace RTS'.

I don't think LGA will be getting their XD-40s zero training buses arrived yet and we are not sure if 7369 and 7380 are labeled for MTA Bus......

 

Hol up.. Last time I read that 7308 went to LGA from FB for Training. Unless that never happen.

I Really think they might change the assignment when it comes to MTA bus XD40's, I haven't heard anything regarding LGA having a trainning bus, there's a good chunk of people who im friends with who work there, they would have said something by now, IMO BP should get 15 to 20 of them, while LGA gets the rest, BP might not even get the artics since they are refusing to get em due to the contract (they want as well as any other local 100 depot in MTA bus wants that extra 25 cents, thats why BP didn't get any D60HF's like they were supposed to, they're waitng for the new contract, This was told to me by an MTA worker who works at BP), Hopefully the MTA bus Local 100 drivers get their new contract when the XD60's comes in
