Wasn't it reported a few weeks that 7691 was sold and removed from the property?

Are you sure it was 7691? A photo would confirm it.

That is Gleason, JG Depot is right next to the 38th street yard where they store work trains... work train can be seen in the background.

This bus is currently not showing active in the system, hence why it was reported retired.

7691 (and 7746) both were repowered with a Doosan GL11K engine and they have Allison transmissions now, instead of the usual ZF Ecomat.

 

7691 was out of service for quite some time (hearing different stories on why, but it wasn't running lol), but it's sitting in Gleason. Maybe for work, possibly actual service, too soon to tell yet.
