That means they put it back in service, this bus had an accident of some sort and was off the roster for a while.

 

An accident? When? I believe I saw that bus in late September. So I take it it was OOS sometime afterwards.

 

ALso around October 12th, I saw an O7 OG 3597 in service on the Q35 and it was on the Q35 again later that week. Is 3597 at FR or was it just a loaner from SC? [it still had the SC stickers on it.]

Up Will send buses to spring creek to replace to 2200 my guest at 2100. Yukon and ulmer park will receive the new prevost. All of the moves will replace the 18 hundred's the 19 hundred's and early 2000 spread out between castleton Yukon.and meredith.

So basically all the 2200s [the newest MCIs] should be at CAS by the end of all this then? That is interesting news.

 

UP is going to get much younger -fleet age wise. I just wonder if it means they'll have to take on older RTSs to balance things out?

These sets of moves are totally weird especially taking buses from Spring Creek. Why couldn't they get buses from Eastchester or College Point. They are the ones with the most express bus fleet.

 

Anyhow, some of these moves I don't see happening. especially the Spring Creek to UP & Meredith.. Meredith have 28xx buses, some need repair, some are very good and running, and UP has 21xx buses and most of them are going to be bye-bye. UNLESS SPRING CREEK gets the next MCI order for 2012, I don't see it happening. At best UP should swap with Meredith and send 43xx buses to them when they receive the backend of the Prevost order. (All of this is subject to change and you know we all are dealing with the MTA)

 

3238 spotted on QM15 in Midtown Manhattan. Still has SC decals. I know SC doesn't have property of the QM15. I forget which depot has that line.

 

Prevost order is for Yukon, and Ulmer Park from what I know. I believe Charleston MAY BE in the mix also.

and if the 22xx move from SC to meredith is true. Than next MCI order for MTA bus would be Spring Creek and Yonkers (IMO).

Hmmm....so let's recap here:

 

- Castleton gets #2210-2228 along with 20 2700s to replace their 1800s, 1900s and 2000s

- Meredith gets #2229-2250 to replace #2040-2041 and #2066-2096.

- Ulmer Park is suppose to send Spring Creek buses to replace their 2200s.

- Yukon and Ulmer Park will get the Prevost order (#2400-2449 to Yukon and #2450-2489 to Ulmer Park)

 

Well, I would think that 2800s and 2900s would move to Spring Creek from Ulmer Park and the 4300s would move to Charleston since from what cartman1210 posted...is not getting any part of the Prevost order.

 

If things go according to plan via cartman1210's info, the express fleet would be balanced.

 

Castleton:

2000 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2700s

2008 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2210-2228

 

Charleston:

2001 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2100s

2002 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2800s

2007 MCI D4500 Cruiser #4300s (ASSUMING they get Ulmer Park's 4300s...again, that's my assumption)

 

Meredith:

2002 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2800s and #2900s

2008 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2229-2250

 

Spring Creek:

2002 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2800s and/OR #2900s and the 7400s which are still there.

2005-2007 MCI D4500 Cruiser #3000s

 

Ulmer Park:

2001 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2100s (including #2185)

2007 MCI D4500 Cruiser #4300s (ASSUMING they will remain at Ulmer Park)

2011 Prevost X3-45s

 

Yukon:

2000 MCI D4500 Cruiser #2700s

2011 Prevost X3-45s

 

Oh and keep one thing in mind, Trevor had a picture of some of the MCI D4500 Cruiser #2229-2250 with "MTA New York City Bus" on them when they were in New Jersey for inspection. I think bus #2229 comes to mind.

IDK if this was mentioned or not but 9635 is at Flatbush, seen it on the B41 today.

 

This major swap that was posted above.... Nice to see DD60 MCIs make a return to SC and I get to see those awesome bright green signs at night. :cool:

 

But SC losing the 2200s? :cry:

 

Gonna miss em, those buses have GREAT heat!
