What happened to them tho?

Those are the blueprint buses.

 

Generally speaking, those come in first to tread the waters and see what needs to be changed. Once they get what they need, the production buses come in while the blueprint buses go back and get their changes. Usually they come back at the end of the order.

I saw 5058 slowly moving along the Whitestone Br, anybody know what happened? It had a state trooper escorting behind.

Sure it was a Trooper and not an MTA Bridge and Tunnels PD car? They've all been repainted the same color. Probably broke down or was in bad shape and needed a car tailing it.

Actually, those MTA Bridge and Tunnels PD car is black with yellow or orange stripes. State Police is dark blue with the same. At least that's what I see out by me.

 

BTW, did Flatbush update their depot logo (like Casey Stengel)? I notice a shade darker color (Yellow) on the logo on #5139...driver side.

No, he's actually correct. Cuomo has changed the colors, and all new cars are State Blue with the same color stripe as the new buses. About half of the old fleet, all of which won't be retired soon have already been repainted. There should be very few black or white cars left at this point.

3227 BP to JK

6024 to CS

6122 new to GA, transferred to JK, then back to NFI

6124 to GA

6112 had been running in the Q10

6032, 6034 JK to LG

6030 Assigned to JK and currently at ZA

6006, 6008 LG to CS

 

Orion VII CNG Summary

 

JG only has 23 left

SC now has (13) 7600, 7608, 7619, 7622, 7624, 7627, 7631, 7642, 7647, 7657, 7667, 7675, 7681

WF has 136. Most all of which will be replaced by XN60's

 

XN60 Program Review. 1000-1003 now pending final audit inspection and pre-delivery qualification. The assignment may play out the same. As of now it's expected that Gleason will get one first. That of course could change if if they do just as the XN40 order was reassigned.

6030 is actually at JFK. Caught it yesterday evening.
