Noflexdont 75 Posted July 24, 2010 Share #2 Posted July 24, 2010 the people that clean at the depot are bus operators that have lost there driving privilege (medical, drug,DUI, ect...)for the most part. i know of a guy that smacked someone with the bus radio hand mic and will be sweeping floors till he turns his paperwork in. armax1980 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Share #6 Posted July 26, 2010 There are two cleaning positions Cleaner Helper for the OA and Cleaner TA for TA side. Not sure what MTA Bus uses. TA and OA both require taking an exam. The Cleaner Helper test is harder than the cleaner TA because the cleaner helper test is technically a helper maintainer exam with mostly mechanical questions and they start you as a cleaner then give you a free promotion to a helper at a later time.Whereas the TA one is only for the cleaner title and to become a helper, you must take a separate exam. Sadly, most of the cleaners at the depot are demoted B/O's.
