ripple Posted July 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 28, 2010 I had to share this based on some of the other threads about people having encounters with various enforcement units. Picture This, and Risk Arrest By JIM DWYER Published: July 27, 2010 Duane P. Kerzic was stopped by the Amtrak police while taking pictures of a train that he was preparing to enter in a photo contest sponsored by the railroad itself. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/28/nyregion/28about.html

Mysterious2train Posted July 31, 2010 Share #4 Posted July 31, 2010 I've never experienced any police confrontations. I didn't take pictures, I shot videos instead [Austin21926 on youtube!] The one person so far who has told me to stop filming was a LIRR conductor [well, she looked like a conductor, but she was mainly roaming the platforms] at Jamaica far back on New Years' Day. And that was the same day that three LIRR conductors never stopped me while I was filming. However, When I did film, I went out of my way to evade police officers. Nova RTS 9147 Posted July 31, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 31, 2010 Anyone who looks on Amtrak's website knows that its perfectly legal to take photos on the platform. Sadly, Amtrak police don't know anything about that.....
