Between 67 Av and 63 Dr

Correct! This was a provision for the Proposed Connection to the Rockaway (LIRR) Line. This is just east of the 63rd Drive-Rego Park station. It can be clearly be seen by (M) or (R) trains running on the D2 track (Northbound/Forest Hills bound local track) just before entering the 67th Avenue station.

The bellmouth starts turning off from the local track. But it's very brief. The only thing worth mentioning about the area is a well lit emergency exit.

On the other side just before entering the 63rd Drive station on the D1 Track (Southbound local track), there seems to be an never-used trackway/tunnel that merges in the southbound local track. I remember seeing the same thing many years ago from the rear window of a city bound R32 (G) train as we approached 63 Dr-Rego Park. I couldn't tell where that bellmouth ended.

There is a rumor that the tunnel that turns off from the D1 track (Southbound local track) just east of the 63 Drive station were built almost completely up to the LIRR ROW.

The structure at one of the platforms at the 63rd Drive station was supposed to be the tower for the proposed Rockaway Line connection.

This is one out of the two places where an emergency exit was built in a bellmouth. The other one being the on the IND Fulton Street Line just east of the Broadway Junction station, which was for a proposed Jamaica Avenue Subway.
