Fuji is pretty good. I have a Nikon D80. The camera was worth every penny, and cost a lot of pennies. I slpurged and got it when it came out a few years ago. Looking at your fuji, there are ways you can correct the darkness issue. Sometimes having a slightly delayed shutter will help the darker part come out.
