EE Broadway Local Posted August 17, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 17, 2010 * Is Market Street safe between 40th and 69th Streets around MFL stations (and West Philadelphia overall)? * Are Front Street and Kensington Avenue safe around MFL stations? * How do you access Millbourne (MFL) from Market Street? * Can you transfer between the MFL and Broad Street Subway and the MFL and Ridge Avenue Connector? * Why does the El go underground next to the sidewalk at 45th and 44th Streets instead of in the middle of Market Street? * Which Trolley routes are the best in terms of scenery? * Which Regional Rail routes are most interesting to railfan? buswizard Posted August 18, 2010 Share #5 Posted August 18, 2010 The R3 (West Trenton Line), R5 (Paoli-Thorndale Line) and the R6 (Norristown Line) are pretty good scenic routes to railfan as far as Regional Rail goes. Front and Kensington is a bit dangerous if you ask me. A bus driver driving a route a few blocks north got assaulted violently a few months ago. West Philly is not too bad, but the areas surrounding a 3 to 5-block radius of the route G bus can be a nightmare at certain times of the day.
