Princelex 287 Posted August 17, 2010 Share #4 Posted August 17, 2010 Wow, it's been 4 years already?! Damn, time sure does fly. I rode that set this day in 2006 and I was floored. If there was ever a time that I was "foaming", it was that day. I rode it from Queensboro Plaza to Coney Island and then from Coney Island to 59th St-Lex Ave. Everyone in the car was marveling over the cars talking about how nice it was. I was like a kid in the candy store riding that train. I truly loved it and I still enjoy the R160's today.

Ftrainfan 13 Posted August 20, 2010 Share #13 Posted August 20, 2010 Which was why I did not really care about the R160s debut. Same here , I really did not focus on R160s until they started running on the line. Since the (F)'s my home line!

YankeesPwnMets 569 Posted August 21, 2010 Share #16 Posted August 21, 2010 Na, if the American Museum of Natural History gets the money and more space, they might keep some R160s and maybe 1 set of retired R179s there one day. I wouldn't be suprised

Grand Concourse 2,690 Posted August 25, 2010 Share #19 Posted August 25, 2010 Exactly, he's got the wrong museum, it is the Transit Museum. As for the 1st day of service, I got on it at Canal [too late for 57/7th]. Thank god for the more direct line. I had no idea it has been this long ago.
