Saturday August 21: To the Rockaways by Rail and Bus

Take in the summer seaside on our first ever Nostalgia train and bus trip! Meet at the Museum where our beloved cars will be ready and waiting for you to board. Then off to Rockaway Park on a spectacular ride over Jamaica Bay. Stroll to the local beach or, better yet, ride one of our vintage buses to Gateway National Park. You can spend all afternoon enjoying the beach, or take turns riding each different bus!

 

I'm also posting this in the Bus forum since it applies there too.

 

If you don't have tickets yet you can show up day of and get them. Check in starts at 9:30am. You can't ride the buses or trains without a ticket.

 

Subway equipment will be ALL EIGHT operational R1-9's. Bus equipment will be SEVEN vintage buses from 1949 to the mid 1980's, including for the first time the Grumman Flexible
