Jeez guys, thanks for all these comments! :) I didn't think it would be this popular...anyway let me explain where I took these pics; the R-40 Slant (A) train was taken at Jay Street-Borough Hall when there were shuttle buses running between Jay St and Broadway Junction. The R-40 Slant (J), (F), and (K) Trains were just taken at the Transit Museum. Thanks for all the comments guys!

I've taken this photo in the early 1990s.

 

The R30's are like the R36WF cars, because they retained that SMEE sound, with a distinctive "puff" when the doors closed. Internally, they were identical to R33S cars, just bigger in scale.

 

They at one time dominated the BMT Eastern Division, then around 1989 began being moved to the (C), and they were all running on the (C) by 1990.
