MTA To Begin Local Bus Rider Report Cards

Now that straphangers and express bus riders have had the chance to grade their lines, local bus riders are being given the opportunity to do the same.

New York City Transit says beginning Monday, Rider Report Cards will be handed out to customers of all local Staten Island bus routes. The program will later be expanded to all boroughs.

The report cards will be distributed at major transit hubs like the Eltingville Transit Center and the Saint George Ferry terminal.

Bus routes will be graded in 20 different categories, including cleanliness, wait time and seat availability, as well as overall performance.

The MTA says it has already implemented improvements on subway and express bus lines based on the results of rider report cards.
