Why do you think Bathrooms aren't provided to customers throughout the NYC Subway?

I'm thinking it's mainly because of vandalism, and the necessary expense the MTA would incur as a result of their upkeep.

Yea, it would be nice though, to have them working, clean, properly stocked at all times, maybe it would be possible if they had a security person, even if it were like a 3rd of the stations or less.

They will not hire someone to stand guard at a bathroom. People are disgusting. We have employees who don't clean up after themselves. Don't expect the public to treat the restrooms better.

 

All I can suggest is use you shoes/sneakers if you got to go, or carry an old pair with you just in case.......
