R160 Posted September 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2010 I think it would be useful if this forum had a spoiler feature. This way, members could put images, videos, etc. in the spoiler tags so they won't take up so much space.
Example

R160 Posted September 4, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 4, 2010 Yeah. So you have to click the spoiler to see the images and/or videos.
East New York Posted September 5, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 5, 2010 I don't think that many people would use it seeing as you can just post a link in place of the actual video or pic. The majority of users like to see whatever it is on the spot, versus clicking on an additional link or "spoiler" to see it. IMO, I don't see it as necessary. R160 Posted September 6, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted September 6, 2010 I think it works better than just posting the link because the images loads but you don't have to look at the image if you don't want to. Also, it can be used for other things than images and videos. Long lines of text could be placed in the spoiler.
Amtrak7 Posted September 7, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 7, 2010 The problem with these "collapsible elements" is that, for most Javascript collapsible elements, the content loads with the open container before it collapses. For those without a fast connection, it gives it away.

For those without a fast connection, it gives it away. I've never experienced that before so I wouldn't know. But even then, there could be 15 images that you could easily view or hide. RokuSix Posted September 7, 2010 Share #8 Posted September 7, 2010 They're not spoilers, though... it's not like in the next episode of Transit Fans Daily, there's a juicy plot revelation... lol
