EE Broadway Local Posted September 6, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2010 From NY 1 Transit: Effective Tuesday, Manhattan-bound Trains will no longer stop at Beach 25th Street-Wavecrest, Beach 44th Street-Frank Avenue, and Beach 67th Street-Gaston Avenue and Queens-bound Trains will no longer stop at Beach 90th Street-Holland, and Beach 105th Street-Seaside until Autumn 2011 as the Rockaways rehabilitation project moves along. Manhattan-bound Trains will stop at the alternating stations of Beach 36th Street-Edgemere, and Beach 60th Street-Straiton Avenue, and Queens-bound trains will stop at the alternating station of Beach 98th Street-Playland. One rider told NY1 they would have a twenty to twenty-five block walk to Beach 90th Street for a Manhattan-bound train while another said they would have to leave their house at least thirty-five minutes earlier to catch a Far Rockaway-bound train, riding to that station (Mott Avenue-Far Rockaway), go under to go over to come back this way (past their home station).
