I feel that the (M34) should be changed eastbound. Instead of heading straight towards the FDR:

Eastbound buses make a right on 2 Avenue, make a left at 26th Street, make another left on 1 Avenue, travel up back to 34 Street, with its terminal at 34 St/1 Av. The reason for this is because the large number of ppl who work in the medical offices and hospitals along that stretch of 1 Av between 23 and 34 Streets have no reliable means of getting to the subway. The closest is obviously Lexington (4)(5)(6) and they have some options in the M16, M21, M23 and of course the M15/SBS, but I just feel that the M34 should be extended down just those couple of blocks to serve a larger population.

Actually, most people will use a car to get to Jones Beach rather than schlepp all their stuff (umbrellas, towel, etc.) on the subway to the train THEN on to a bus, and then again at the end of the day. Their total time commuting will be far more than the time actually spent on the beach.

Oh and forget about doing that during rush hour because you will barely be able to get in the train with all the stuff that most families bring to the beach.

If N36 is saved, I will extend from Freeport Station to Jones Beach during summer, way Bx12 Local does it.

I will merge N57 and N58 into one loop bus.

From Great Neck Station, it will go on N58 route first to End of Kings Point Ferry Rd, turn around, then at Middle Neck Rd/Steamboat Rd, it goes clockwise pattern of N57 back to Great Neck Station.

When N57 doesn`t run, all trips ends at End of King Point Ferry Rd.
