mark1447 Posted September 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2010 I notice this General Order: Service is extended to Chambers St Late Night, 12:01 AM to 6:30 AM, Sat and Sun 12:01 AM to 5 AM, Sep 18 - 20 Late Night, 12:01 AM to 6:30 AM Sat and Sun, 12:01 AM to 5 AM Mon, Sep 25 - 27 • Chambers St-bound trains run local from 72 to Chambers Sts. • 148 St-bound trains run local from Chambers to 96 Sts. Note: Late night service is extended to Chambers St. Idk why its being extended and how is it possible for this train service to end on the Express track of the (2)/(3) since the is running to/from brooklyn and the bronx. Maybe it ill extend to South Ferry and end there or run via SF Loop?
LRG Posted September 7, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2010 Between 2001 and 2002, trains terminated at Chambers Street...no big deal since it was hawk hours and turning the in front of the wasn't much of a hassle. I wouldn't be surprised if the does the same thing or uses South Ferry to turn.
Guest lance25 Posted September 7, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 7, 2010 Obviously they're extending the to Chambers because both the and are running mostly local on 7th Ave, so the can't access the middle track south of Times Sq.

mark1447 Posted September 7, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted September 7, 2010 For explanation, go look at the GO for that weekend. There is no G/O for the . On t/a site it says the and is going local in both direction Obviously they're extending the to Chambers because both the and are running mostly local on 7th Ave, so the can't access the middle track south of Times Sq. No can't be, because then they would have it end at 42nd st on the local track and use 34th St downtown exp track as relay. Its happened before. Urbanfortitude Posted September 14, 2010 Share #17 Posted September 14, 2010 It's really weird. Technically I should be happy to have (3)'s scraping the walls because in theory that would mean more local train frequency along 7th avenue. But I'm not. Am i the only one who gets a little antsy sitting on a local (2)/(3) train?
NX Express Posted September 14, 2010 Share #18 Posted September 14, 2010 Nope: FOUR sections. 1. On Broadway between 242 and 215 Sts, then connecting to the 207 St station. 2.
