LRG Posted September 10, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2010 Grand Central since that's the only station I've ever been to by myself (I used Metro-North only ONCE and that was when I was six or seven years old).
Shortline Bus Posted September 10, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 10, 2010 Grand Central since that's the only station I've ever been to by myself (I used Metro-North only ONCE and that was when I was six or seven years old). Time to railfan my friend. I suggest if you got time/chance and few dollars to railfan both the Hudson line to Poughkeepsie and New Haven to either Stamford or New Haven. The last stop on Northbound Harlem line in Wassic, NY is middle of nowwhere. When I was 18 I already railfanned several times all '3' Metro North branches.
mark1447 Posted September 10, 2010 Share #5 Posted September 10, 2010 ^^ I agree. It sure beats the hell out NYCT a LOT! But GCT is a good place of course, and popular for the tourist! I cant really say my fav, i most likely love all the MNCRR even Croton! Yonkers for a great curve, Stamford, loads of Branch, NH/ConnDOT and NEC action Love MNR!! Lets just say the MTA doesn't want to give up those stations.

The old station is still there and today is a restaurant. 2) Harlem-125th Street Like Jamaica (LIRR) is an elevated station. Has views of Park Avenue and East 125th Street. 3) Grand Central Terminal Love the elevated roadway that runs around this beautiful railroad terminal at Park Avenue and East 42d Street 4 Marble Hill 225th Street I am an MNRR Hudson Line Fan.
