LRG Posted September 13, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 13, 2010 STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Bus passengers who board at ramps A and B at the St. George Ferry Terminal will be temporarily relocated due to rehabilitation work. Starting at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow, Ramp A will be closed, and passengers who use the S61/91, S62/92, S66 and S78, will be relocated to "Bus Station North," the former college shuttle-bus stop location. Ramp B will also be closed, and passengers who use the S76/86, S74/84, and S51/81, will be moved to the Taxi Stand. The moves will not affect bus schedules. Signs will direct riders to the new stop locations. This change is expected to last for about one year. The construction will also close the southern half of the current bus exit ramp, and beginning on Monday, pedestrians will have to use the opposite sidewalk to get access to buses and the terminal. S78 via Hylan Posted September 13, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2010 Yesterday, I went to the ferry terminal and noticed that the S61/S91 and S62/S92 share the same bus stop. This might be an issue during rush hours.
LRG Posted September 13, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 13, 2010 If you mean the same layover spot then let's see. I was at the terminal on Saturday and witnessed what was going on. Ramps A and B are roped off.
SIR North Shore Posted September 13, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 13, 2010 Yesterday, I went to the ferry terminal and noticed that the S61/S91 and S62/S92 share the same bus stop. This might be an issue during rush hours. Those four buses you mentioned and the S78 will be able to fit at "Bus Station North." My question is now where do the taxis go? S78 via Hylan Posted September 14, 2010 Share #7 Posted September 14, 2010 Those four buses you mentioned and the S78 will be able to fit at "Bus Station North." My question is now where do the taxis go? In the terminal, there is a sign that says the taxis are close to the parking lot, close to where the ballpark stadium is.
