Planned Service Changes for: Saturday and Sunday, October 02 and 03, 2010

 

 

(1)Trains skip 28, 23 and 18 Sts in both directions

 

Weekend, 12:01 AM Sat to 5 AM Mon, Oct 2 - 4

 

Take the (2) or (3) instead.

 

Guess where the (1) train will be "terminating" with this G.O??? B)

 

Oh and BTW NO (1) train service past 168th Street starting that weekend...

While I don't know the technical answer, I'm pretty sure it has to do with f**king over as few lines as possible, that and not confusing the passengers. They'll see that (1) on Eastern Pkwy and avoid it like the plague.

 

Also, if I recall correctly, the (1) hasn't run into Brooklyn since the 9/11 contingency plan. Why send it there when it's not necessary?

Im going to lose count again on those people who stay on the train, dont pay attention to the announcements and find themselves at 34th street going Uptown..

I love runnin up and down that platform like LAAAAAST STOP!!!! I even told them before the train is out of service before pulling into 14th lol

Not at Nostrand or Kingston. They'd have no choice but to take the (1) at those two stations with the (4) running express during through there.

Agreed, although they also really seem to be taking a shit (pardon the pun) on the (2). Bus bridges between 96th and 149th Streets all summer long and now back to all local on the weekends.
