LRG 217 Posted September 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 21, 2010 In the ttmg, lots of routes are now shared in 2 depots, i wonder why the route must be shared with another depot? School trippers.
SevenEleven 2,986 Posted September 21, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 21, 2010 School trippers. That's exactly what it is. So a few trips may be operated by this depots. They don't necessarily warrant that they have part or all of the route.

They don't necessarily warrant that they have part or all of the route. If it helps, I'd think it'd be best of Trevor indicated if a route is joint-operated between two depots on the regular or if a route is only based out of a certain depot for certain purposes (such as supplemental school service), to avoid possible confusion. An example would be the B7 and the B47: the school runs are out of Flatbush so an asterisk could be placed next to the route and indication should be made of it: Flatbush Bus Depot MTA NYC Transit Brand 4901 Fillmore Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11234 Routes: B2, B7*, B31, B41, B44, B46, B47*, B49 * Operates school days only. And if the bus is regularly split, put a cross next to the route and make indication: Casey Stengel Bus Depot (Former Flushing Bus Depot) MTA NYC Transit Brand 123-53 Roosevelt Ave, Corona, NY 11368 Routes: Q12, Q13, Q15, Q15A, Q16, Q17, Q20A, Q20B, Q26, Q27, Q28, Q31, Q32†, Q44, Q48, Q58, Q76, Q89 † Split with Michael J. Quill. Note: I'm aware the Q32 is no longer split, but that's just an example for if it were. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Thanks for all the suggestions but I actually already changed that. There is now a * by the routes at garages that does rush hour trippers/school runs on a certain line
The Real 2,914 Posted September 21, 2010 Share #7 Posted September 21, 2010 As far as the school trippers go, it's done. The split routes will just be listed. There is only 1 or 2 split routes in the whole system left which is the Q11 and Q41, everything else is just pure tripper/school runs.

The Real 2,914 Posted September 21, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 21, 2010 To make it easier for you guys, I've split them off into actual sections of what garage covers what in terms of split routes and tripper routes.
