Is this Command Bus Sitting with School Bus?

On September 13th, on enroute to catch B82 LTD at beginning in Spring Creek by taking B13 to B82 at Spring Creek Gateway Mall, I spotted when Spring Creek-bound B13 bus was making left turn from Cozine to Fountain Avs.

Yep! That's an old 1984 GMC Series 04 RTS (T8J-604). Looks like 351. If so, that was the first RTS to go to Command, which was back in November of '84. Nice catch!

I always see that bus its right next to spc depot , ive been trying to get a picture of it . My cousin lives right across the street from there .

I see that bus all the time when I'm heading to flatlands avenue from linden blvd. They had more of those buses in that yard that had the same colors of the command bus line but they said "Varsity" They have a few antique school buses in that yard also.

Actually, didn't Command own 351-357? That bus is deader than dead; some dead Fishbowls used to be with 351 (I believe 489 and 235-1) and a scrapped school bus; that's where the retired school buses sit.

Here is a picture of 1012.

 

This bus still looks like it's in good condition but I'm not sure about the inside. The dark green stipe is unpainted. Green Lines kept this bus after the other RTS 03's retired in 2000 until 2006 as a training or special purpose bus.
