They are the old Brooklyn cars, I forget the line but IIRC there should be one saved at the Shoreline trolley museum in Branford CT, The best person to ask on this question would be Y2Julio as he works there from time to time.

You'd feel much safer standing in a bus than standing on a running board three inches wide on the edge of a streetcar.
