Roadcruiser1 286 Posted October 2, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2010 Go to this webpage with the NYC Subway Track Maps http://www.nycsubway.org/maps/track.html Then pick a track map. Save it then open MS Paint and edit it. Use the shapes and draw the letters or copy and paste the letters for the bullets and you are done. CenSin 3,407 Posted October 3, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 3, 2010 I draw them from scratch. Publisher is recommended for drawing parts of the tracks (switches, curves, straight lines) so you can duplicate the parts and put them in any combination to form a track map. Furthermore, it makes editing very versatile as you don't have to use the stupid eraser or bucket every time you make a mistake. Just delete the part of the track and paste something else in its place or change its color. Microsoft Paint versus Microsoft Publisher is like Playdough versus Legos. Joe 781 Posted October 3, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2010 If you want to be über-cool, use Illustrator. Vector graphics FTW.

Tokkemon 448 Posted October 4, 2010 Share #6 Posted October 4, 2010 I use GIMP for my custom map. It's pretty good and a nice middle-ground between Raster and vector graphics. Best of all: it's free!
