EE Broadway Local Posted October 24, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 24, 2010 Instead of making a U-Turn at Broadway and West 262d Street, would it be possible for the BX 9 to turn around via West 262d Street, Huxley Avenue, and West 261st Street (or maybe West 262d Street, Spencer Avenue and West 261st Street) and instead of making a U-Turn at Riverdale Avenue and West 263d Street, would it be possible for for the BX 7 and BX 10 to turn around via West 263d Street, Delafield Avenue, and West 261st Street (or maybe via West 263d Street, Liebig Avenue, and West 261st Street) or is it simply easier for the BX 7, BX 9, and BX 10 to make a U-Turn at the The Bronx Borough/New York City Line (West 262d Street and West 263d Street)? On a related note, does the BX 20 make a U-Turn at West 246th Street and the Henry Hudson Parkway Service Road?
PATCOman Posted October 24, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 24, 2010 There is a thread about this already. http://www.nyctransitforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24279
EE Broadway Local Posted October 24, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted October 24, 2010 Thanks PATCOman. I should've asked my question about the Riverdale buses turning there. Sorry.
checkmatechamp13 Posted October 24, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 24, 2010 But that has nothing to do with what he's saying. That thread is about extending the (Bx7)/(Bx10) to Getty Square. His question is about the turnaround path of routes in the northwestern Bronx.
Q43 Floral Park Posted October 25, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 25, 2010 The residents don't want the buses looping through residential streets besides If it ain't broke don't fix it. To answer your question the Bx20 does make a U-turn over the overpass at 246.
