I heard some drivers talk over in Brooklyn mentioning that the NovaBus RTS'es with the ZF Transmission are gonna be converted to regular diesel. Is this gonna be true?

I heard that as well cuz they (the B/Os who told me) said hat those transmissions are starting to drop like flies. The only one got converted (transmission wise BTW) is 5075

Here's a tidbit (most of you people know this already though): the same transmission in those buses is the same as the Orion VII CNGs at West Farms (the ones with the orange signs only)

Basically the MTA is evaluating exactly what to do with 5076-5124. As most of you already know, 4900-5249 will not be going anywhere, anytime soon. Therefore, the MTA is trying to decide exactly how to best preserve 5076-5124, and the rest of the 1998, and 1999 RTS' in question. So if this means they will get new transmissions, then that is what will take place. But in my personal opinion, I think the ZF's are here to stay!:P At least for now!

I Don't know about UP Being all that bad aside from the drity, with area like Sea Gate, Gravesend, and Coney Island it happens. I think there do Great Work those 1996 Novas some of the best Buses in the system hands downs. As well as the MCI which are Top Tier if it kame from Ulmer Park Depot. We Had 5075-5099 Before FLA so if anything they kan have 5100-5124 back Orange sign and all, I would glady take 9074-9083 back and a few others.
