Manhattan_Bound Posted May 10, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 10, 2007 Does the SIRT have the side LCD destination signs. Like the ones on the F saying: F to CONEY ISLAND

Manhattan_Bound Posted May 11, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted May 11, 2007 Also, how do the passengers know where they are going without them?
Harry Posted May 12, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 12, 2007 What do they have in place of the signs? Nothing. They're just plain windows. It's been a while since I've seen them in action but that's what I remember. Also, how do the passengers know where they are going without them? There's a place card in the front of the train where the letters would be on the A/B division subways.

Far Rock Depot Posted October 25, 2007 Share #7 Posted October 25, 2007 Ive ridden SIR trains recently. There are no side signs. the front scroll signs on their R44's have the destination on them where NYCT's route signs are. N/B's have St. George, St. George Express or Ballpark and S/B's have Tottenville, Tottenville Express or Great Kills. At St. George, at each entrance to the platforms are signs that display the departing trains destination and operation(express or local). since the N/B end of the train will have St. George displayed. With its limited service patters the need for a side sign is not really nessesary.
