Joel Up Front Posted October 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2010 I noticed that on the back of the Orion Vs here, there are two lights on either side of the higher up single taillight... http://www.ttmg.org/pages/dcbna/nymta-orionn.html Look at #1566.... since then, all the Orion Vs on the Island have covered those lights up. What were they for? Why were they covered up?

What were they for? Why were they covered up? Those two orange lights acted as a safety device. They blinked when the bus was slowing down and stopped to let the motorist behind the bus take caution or slow down. I believe they were covered up to make the buses blend in w/the NGs.
