EE Broadway Local Posted October 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2010 Is PATH now officially using the line colors in addition to the familiar names: Newark-World Trade Center Line = Red Line; Journal Square-33d Street Line = Yellow Line; Hoboken-33d Street Line = Blue Line; Hoboken-World Trade Center Line = Green Line and Journal Square-33d Street via Hoboken Line = Yellow-Blue Line (Or Blue-Yellow Line?)? Pablo M 201 Posted October 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2010 Not really. Like when they put up an advisory they just say Newark to World Trade Center or Journal Square to 33rd Street. Here is an example: "Due to a car equipment problem, train service on the Newark to World Trade Center line is operating with a 10 minute delay." They just use the colors on the map to distinct them. metsfan Posted October 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2010 The colors are just to visually differentiate the routes, PA refers to them as newark to world trade center, journal square to 33rd, hoboken to world trade center, hoboken to 33rd, and journal square to 33 va hoboken. There was talk a while back about changing the names, but they stuck with the terminals as names because its more self defining and easier for those unfamiliar with the system to get where they are going. - A
