IRT Bronx Express Posted October 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2010 Boarded a wheelchair passenger...BAM!..Tha frckin lift gets stuck in the open Position...The ditzy bus drver orders us all offThe same thing happened to me once on the Bx40 bus months ago. The difference is, once all of us left the bus, the wheelchair lift worked again, and we boarded inside the bus again.
Infamous85 Posted October 28, 2010 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2010 Sounds like something I'd go through, although it'd probably be a psycho storm going on. I actually went through something similar not even an hour ago, the Q5 was taken out of service to only be put back into service 10 minutes later, at least bus was empty afterwards. A 25 minute walk isn't bad at all though imo, maybe I'm just used to having to walk lol, walked 5 miles up and down hills on Tuesday and only 2 buses passed me (one was a LI Bus so it wasn't stopping at all lol), luckily I wasn't waiting for the bus anyways. Joel Up Front Posted October 28, 2010 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2010 Was the bus a hybrid or an RTS? I don't think the Bronx has any old RTS buses left. I read that the operator can just pull the damn lift if the switch doesn't work, anyway.

They only RTS left in the Bronx are on the Bx23.
