This isn't a representative sample of PATH riders. It is a fringe group of PATH haters. The fact of the matter is that PATH is a lot better than the system on the other side of the Hudson River.

This is a more accurate critique of PATH:

I ride often, and i've found that it is getting better. They are doing tons of work on the tracks and switches, and the new signal system is being put in (if you've seen those spools of fiber optic cable, that's for the new signals) and will be active in 2 years or so when all the old PA cars are gone. Trains seem to be right on time, and if there's a problem, information is usually easily found from crew or path info phone. The tv screens in stations show weather info, the time and news updates as well.

As far as PATH stations being hot, well 2 things. One, H&M never intended for heat to be dumped into the tunnels and stations from air conditioning units on the trains, and there was no dynamic brake. Two, trains are longer, typical H&M trains consisted of 3 car trains, today 7-8 is normal. More equipment, and that equipment putting out heat the original equipment never did is about 80% of the heat. The rest is from the traction system and electronics in the stations and along the right of way.

There are some options being explored to add a more powerful fan at the 15th street shaft, as well as upgrades to the fan plant at exchange place and newport. The stations in manhattan have limited options, but they could conceivably swing some kind of 2 part air exchange/air chiller system, the 2nd part operated via ConEd steam, you bring old air out, and chill the air going in. You could squeeze this system along with any related ducting and pipes in a sidewalk vault, the vents could be like a sidewalk grate, have the ends of the ducts curved down so stuff doesnt fall into them from the sidewalk, or you could bring it up into the building where the entrance is.
