The thread was deleted by me because of the insensitive and childish responses to a accident that could've happened to anyone. But if it happens to your friend, mother, father, sister, brother or any other family member it ain't funny anymore. I noticing that animals get more respect than a human does in this hobby. Really sad.

I see someone continued with the crap in this thread already.

Threads with insensitive or childish responses will continue to be deleted or closed without notice period!

Did I post something inappropriate to cause my thread to be deleated? :P

No you did not EE. It was just that some people couldn't handle the discussion properly.

Countdown clocks or not, people will still stick their heads out to see if the train is actually comming. Not everyone relies on it since its right only 95% of the time. Im not gonna lie I still do it myself when waiting for the (L) late at nights since the clocks isn't completely right

But still, you want to know where your train is, you stare at the numbers on said clock until they go down to 0.

On graphs, it's the top line that's the best :P

Some people are just too sensitive, what good can be said about someone who did something obviously stupid to them selfs. Had it been a true accident, things would be different, but that's not the case here.

This guy could have been hearing impaired, or otherwise handicapped. Do we know for a fact he wasn't?

It was an accident no matter how you slice it. Just like it someone crashes into to you with his bike on a Brooklyn street. When he started off riding, his intentions weren't to crash into anyone.

But god forbid if happens to someone you know or care about. Let's see if you would comment or feel the same way. And if you say yes than you're full of shit and you know it.

Hearing impairment is not an excuse for sticking your head into a known area where trains travel in any direction at any time. If he was blind, that's that's an excuse though he would then have no place being there without assistance.

See now you're replying with reason and fact the way a grown up adult should. Keep it up!

As a matter of fact you did it twice in this thread so far.

But even if he was hearing impaired, he could have still looked at the countdown clocks that litter 14th St.

There are quite a few people in the world that don't care what happens to anybody, that includes friends/family.

That's true but you also gotta remember, this is NYC, nobody pays attention these days. Most people are impatient and will still look over the edge even if there's a big ass timer in their face.

Always gotta turn my smart remarks into your own smart remarks, dontcha :P

Glad those people aren't friends of mine.

I agree.

Well maybe the timer needs to be taped to their head.

And yes, I do :P

On this forum it seems like if anyone gets hit by a bus its automatically the pedestrians fault and that person is the stupidest person in the world and didn't deserve to live. Who knows if the driver didn't see person. Who knows if the bus driver was distracted by a passenger. Who knows is the pedestrian was distracted. Accidents happen. My friend got hit by a car on his motocycle because the driver blew the stop sign on him. Maybe these kinds of threads should be banned from here.

As a M/M I'll leave the chidish responses to someone else but IDK that there is no reason for anyone to peer over a platform to look for a train. Period. Countdown clock or not. It doesn't make the train come any quicker and, quite frankly, it appears stupid to train operators. As far as the unfortunate victim as some have pointed out that person may have been impaired, mentally or physically, I don't know what happened but it certainly is no laughing matter. I can see why the original thread was deleted and I agree with the moderator. I look at these posts almost daily and applaud those threads where there appears to be intelligent discussion, whether I agree or disagree with them, but there are times such as this one where some of the posts become rather infantile, juvenile, or outright disgusting. We are talking about someones life and health, not fantasy. Just my opinion. Carry on.
