Up until the early '90s the Rockaway Park shuttle run from Rockaway Park to Far Rockaway, then to Euclid Av and finally back to Rockaway Park, thus earning the name "Rockaway Round-Robin".

Does anyone know how the Lenox Shuttle ran at one point? Did the trains head to 145th Street, switch to the uptown track, reach 135th Street, and then head back north?

Lenox Terminal to 135th St s/b. Relayed south of station. N/b to middle track. Relay north of station. Wrong rail back into 135th St on n/b track. Proceed north to Lenox Terminal. The first two shuttles proceeded n/b from middle track without picking up passengers because there was still service coming from Brooklyn during that time.

I forgot the reason about this pic, but I think either there was a split service or the last car of the train wasn't signed properly. Either way, a rare opportunity for me.

No its 36 St. It goes from 95 St to 59 St, then express to 36 St. It fumigates at the express track (the & is local at this time) and continues north of the station. It then turns back around via the switches north of 36 St and picks up people from the local track and makes all stops to 95 St.

Well, not when I took it. When I was trying to ride the whole system in January, I got off the at 59th to wait for the shuttle, which came into 59th, took passengers, and then went to 95th.

I was waiting on the 59th St CI/southbound platform. It was in the middle of the night.
