LRG Posted November 7, 2010 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2010 S53/S79/S93 terminate in Bay Ridge about five minutes after getting off the bridge. The Q60 and Q101 terminate in Manhattan right near the Queensboro Bridge.
checkmatechamp13 Posted November 7, 2010 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2010 He meant the opposite-routes that only run in one borough and end just before they reach another borough. Like the way the S40 ends right near the Goethals Bridge and the Q12 and Q43 end just at the Queens-Nassau border.

Fresh Pond Posted November 8, 2010 Share #8 Posted November 8, 2010 Also, the B43 terminates at Box St/Manhattan Av, a few blocks down from Newton Creek. A good tidbit about that is that the old Crosstown depot is right across the street at that lot Q19 terminates under RFK Bridge at 21st St area. Q39/Q66/Q100- Terminates under Queensboro Bridge. Don't forget the Q67 & Q69 and maybe the B62 if you look at it

RailRunRob Posted November 13, 2010 Share #14 Posted November 13, 2010 (off topic) why hasn't the M100 been extended back into Riverdale? and replace the 20 to 246th Street.
IRT Bronx Express Posted November 13, 2010 Share #15 Posted November 13, 2010 (off topic) why hasn't the M100 been extended back into Riverdale? and replace the 20 to 246th Street. The M100 was split into the Bx7 (W. 246th to W.263rd) and a newly created Bx20 (Inwood to W. 246th) because the M100 was a very long route at that time. It was cut back to Inwood, but later extended to W. 215th.
checkmatechamp13 Posted November 13, 2010 Share #16 Posted November 13, 2010 Probably something to do with reliability issues (which was why they split the route in the first place)
RailRunRob Posted November 13, 2010 Share #17 Posted November 13, 2010 I grew up in Riverdale I remember when the m100 went to 263rd and the Bx1 went to 246th street.. there where afew long lines at that time the Bx41 was very long back then as well 241th street to 133th/Lincoln. IRT Bronx Express Posted November 13, 2010 Share #19 Posted November 13, 2010 The M100 would've made the best Limited service if implemented. An average trip is 60 minutes. I can imagine that it was at least 80-90 minutes when it served Riverdale. I grew up in Riverdale I remember when the m100 went to 263rd and the Bx1 went to 246th street.. there where afew long lines at that time the Bx41 was very long back then as well 241th street to 133th/Lincoln.I never understood why the Bx1 went to Riverdale... maybe no Concourse riders ever went there? Kingsbridge Bus Posted November 13, 2010 Share #21 Posted November 13, 2010 I'm not sure if this counts but (Bx3)(Bx11)(Bx13)(Bx35)(Bx36) ends right outside the GW Bridge. The (M35) also gets close enough to both the Bronx and Queens.
