New Terminal At Brooklyn Developmental Center

MTA New York City Transit announces that as of December 8, 2010, the terminal for the B83 route is now at Fountain Avenue, instead of at Gateway Drive.

In the past, customers from the Brooklyn Developmental Center would board the bus, travel one stop to the old terminal and would have to wait through the layoer at Gateway Drive. After reviewing customers' travel patterns, Transit has relocated the final stop to Fountain Avenue in front of the Brooklyn Developmental Center. All customers going to the Mall may get off at Erskine Street which is the first stop after the bus exits the highway. The destination of most of the remaining customers is the Developmental Center.

Customers may visit www.mta.info to check for Current Service Status as well as to plan their trip with Plan&Ride or call Travel Information at (718) 330-1234, 6am to 10pm, daily. Customers may also try our new On the Go iPhone/iPad app at http://onthego.mta.info.

On the surface, I see nothing wrong with this... B83's gotta make that loop anyway.

Anyone that's still on a SB bus past Gateway (mall), is heading to the developmental ctr...

b/o's may not be too fond of the (very) isolated area, but layover on that end of the B83 isn't too long anyway.. I'd say 5 mins. tops... Currently, as soon as B83's pickup pax for a NB trip, those buses are gone instantly, leaving Q8's & B13's behind still idling/stalling...

MTA New York City Transit announces that as of December 8, 2010...

You did a very nice job formatting that text. Really cool but it looks too official. Remember this is not an official MTA website. You made that post look like this site and theirs was connected.

If you run into another press release that you want to post, please follow the guidelines below:

========================

One or two paragraphs of the original article followed by the text and link that you see below.

Please try and not quote the entire news article, especially if you're the second person to reply. If you're commenting about the article, you shouldn't be quoting the original poster. Just reply and that's it. ;)

^^ I believe they call that netiquette.... somethin like that...

- where if you're the first replier (2nd poster) in a thread, you don't quote the TS' post...

aint no need to... who else you replying to...

- where if you're quoting someone, you only take parts of the post that you're quoting, if it's of a lenghty post....

That's why I'm glad this is a vB board w/ the multi-quote feature....

Instead of allowing for nested quotes, which is an instant BW killer....

I mean, just look at this asininity (if that's even a word):

enough of the techie/geeky stuff... lol...
