I think that is just the effect that the LED's give. Kinda like when you take a video camera and point it at a TV screen.

 

A question about that though. Will the line indicators on the new trains still be color coded? It may just be me, but it seems that they all look like they are red.

I prefer the proper line colors too.

I would prefer the proper line colors too, but they are going to remain red LED's for now.
