Wow thats fast. Thanks for the update but hows Alstom doing?

Last I heard, Alstom is swamped so bad that they are two month behind with the R-160A-1's. Ill be a while before A-2's will be on the property. I think for every 4 sets of A-1's, 1 A-2 is delivered. It's kinda complicated. You think for all that money and time. But don't forget, the shells are being manufactured in Sao Palo.

So far alstom is only delivering A-1s there are only ten R160A-2s on (NYCT) property. The A-2 cars will start coming in once all of the A-1 cars are in. Btw those ten A-2 cars run on the (N). And once the other A-2 cars get here they will go to queens blvd for CBTC....

8653 8654 8655 8656 8657 8658 8659 8660 8661 8662 8663 8664 8665 8666 8667 8668 8669 8670 8671 8672 8673 8674 8675 8676 8677 8678 8679 8680 8681 8682 8683 8684 8685 8686 8687 8688 8689 8690 8691 8692 8693 8694 8695 8696 8697 8698 8699 8700 8701 8702 8703 8704 8705 8706 8707 8708 8709 8710 8711 8712

All these car numbers are the 5 car Units for the R160A...

The numbers in Bold are already in service and on property..

CBTC for Queens Blvd will take a few years, these coming in wont...

Look for the (W)iskey to have R160's soon...

I have heard that they run a R160 (W)iskey for Rush hour Service in the AM's..

I hear by the end of May.

Well, on Wednesday, I think there were problems coordinating trains on the Astoria terminal. They had to run a R160 (W) to Whitehall. The conductor was really confused...and then had to do everything manually. There was no (W) bullet in the front either. I think training is still necessary if you want the Astoria line to be entirely R160.

There is no "more" training needed that train didnt have the (W)iskey programming..

That what was the problem...

Well, more than half of the (N) Line is R160, So it shouldn't be that hard.
