NX Express Posted December 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted December 27, 2010 Due to storm related switch trouble at Harold Interlocking, just outside of the East River tunnels, and at Jamaica, eastbound LIRR service from Penn Station and Atlantic Terminal has been temporarily suspended. Westbound service is operating with delays ranging up to one hour and there are multiple train cancellations. New York City Transit is cross-honoring LIRR tickets for subway service at Penn Station, Jamaica Station, and Atlantic Terminal. The LIRR will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, December 27, due to today's winter storm. ALSO: LIRR Service on the Oyster Bay Branch is temporarily suspended due to the winter storm. Mark 1 Posted December 27, 2010 Share #4 Posted December 27, 2010 Every time there is a big snowstorm, LIRR gets shut down completely but to be fair practically all lines have to come through Jamaica. Also, West Hempstead service will be suspended tomorrow as well.
