Forest Glen Posted January 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 1, 2011 On Thursday, I took Amtrak to Baltimore. The trip was originally scheduled for Monday, but for obvious reasons it didn't take place. The coaches have plenty of legroom, trays that fold down, and electrical outlets. Everything was good...until the train reached Metropark. We were delayed for 20 minutes because of an air leak. The problem was fixed in Philadelphia after another lengthy delay. On the return trip, the train stopped several times. There is little time savings between Amtrak and the various intercity bus companies. Considering I spent $98 roundtrip, I feel ripped off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRbWrhOU-bk

Amtrak7 Posted January 1, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 1, 2011 Amtrak in the NEC is a ripoff. I can get a Greyhound from NYP to PHL at 3AM on a Sunday morning for $8 if I wanted to.
