3195 came in tonight as well.

OK, so that matches the schedule so far as this week's set:  3194-3197.

We must therefore assume that 3190-3193 arrived LAST week (December 14).

Maybe 3200 will be under the agency's Christmas Tree at 130 Livingston...B-)

It's four sets now. ATH is right.

On another note, the (J) is very close to losing its last sets of R32s. They're down to just two sets of R32s at ENY, and at the current rate of things, it's inevitable that the R32s will finally leave ENY within a month or two.

Sadly, I loved riding the R32's on the (J) for the longest of time just for nostalgia. Happy to see more R179's and NTT's entering the line however...

It should be 4 sets by my count...

3150-57

3158-3161/3166-3169

3162-3165/3170-3173

3174-81

Yup, I'm pretty sure it is four, wonder how long the R179's will last on the (C)? (4 car sets at least)

3182-3185 and 3186-3189 will most likely enter (C) service soon since it's doing burn-in on the latter.

3190-3193, 3194-3197, and 3198-3201 were all recently delivered within a week of each other.

This means there are only 48 cars (6 trains) left to be delivered for the four car sets.

44 cars (5 and a half sets), since 3246-3315 is 80 cars (8 ten car trains). Last 4 car will be 3245.

3070-3073 still hasn't been delivered, making it 48 in this case.

In other words, what's left to be delivered of the four-car sets is:

3070-3073, 3201-3245.

Can someone tell me what exactly the 5-car sets are doing? I mean, it's been a month since the return to NYCT. Some 4-car sets enter service quicker than that.

Any idea when it might possible enter service?

The 5-car sets needed (and possibly still need) extensive modifications.  Even the original spec for 3050-3057 was different from the newest spec, which is why 3058-3065 was the first set to enter service.

Are the R179s on the (C) a permanent thing or temporary until enough R32s are pushed out?

More or less, that’s temporary because the plan for the (L) train shutdown is to have (C) trains be full length before the shutdown. So likely the (C) will use R46’s. As for R32’s, I’m not sure what the plan is for those and I’m not in the mood to speculate

We don’t know MTA probably changed plans and not telling the public what’s going on. Just gotta see until April

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if the plans for the C becoming full length become delayed as a result of the delays in the 5 car r179's. Let's see what happens.

What are the modifications? A B car is a B car right?

They already went through extensive mod's when they were sent back to Bombardier earlier this year.

Now I see why 3050-3057 look different (in terms of wall ad placement)
