EE Broadway Local Posted January 16, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2011 It was 15 January 2009: US Airways Flight 1549 scheduled as a New York City to Charlottle flight but developed problems just six minutes after departing La Guardia. Captain Sully Sullenberger was able to bring the plane down in the Hudson River and all 155 people survived. Flight 1549 will soon make a final landing in Charlotte, North Carolina. The airplane will go on display at the Carolinas Aviation Museum, near the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport later this year. GojiMet86 Posted January 16, 2011 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2011 I can't believe it was 2 years ago. Seems like it happened less than a year ago.
TrainFanatic Posted January 17, 2011 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2011 Captain Sully Sullenberger's years of experience were put to the test that day. Thankfully he was one of the pilots on that plane. If it wasn't for him, their probably would had been some memorial program going on yesturday.
