metsfan Posted January 20, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 20, 2011 It was not so lovely out this morning, but i have not been to hoboken terminal in weeks, so i took some pictures out over the water & between the rail & light rail section of the terminal complex. They are rebuilding a segment of the way old landfill that was having problems. I was there for when they were actually stil diging, and they had pulled up old old railroad ties and such. I dunno exactly what they are doing, but it's due to be completed august 2011. On the barge, with the crane (it's tracked), and the other stuff being lifted into place, is the missing segments of the canopy. Off in the distance, a mammoth Weeks Marine floating crane installs large flexible panels over the PATH tubes to protect from erosion and other dangers such as dropped anchors. Enjoy! - A
