NYtransit Posted January 30, 2011 #1 Posted January 30, 2011 while riding on a R160 today i found something weird.he LED that says what is the next stop, had the in red.I know horrible explanation but i got a photo of it.sorry if the quality is crappy, used my camera phone. if you look closely, you can see the is red.I know this is nothing big, but why was it red instead it being yellow?
Guest lance25 Posted January 30, 2011 #2 Posted January 30, 2011 It's probably just a glitch in the LEDs, presumably causing it to display only one color.
SevenEleven Posted January 30, 2011 #3 Posted January 30, 2011 It's probably faulty. When the R160s debuted on the , that part was green and the rest of the display was blank.

Not weird. The E is red..........the F is red..........the Q is red..............all down the line.
553 Bridgeton Posted January 30, 2011 #5 Posted January 30, 2011 Not weird. The E is red..........the F is red..........the Q is red..............all down the line. . You can clearly see the color diff between the and the rest of the text. Looks orange to me.
INDman Posted January 31, 2011 #6 Posted January 31, 2011 Yep, on the R143/160, the route letter is always orange.
Bill from Maspeth Posted January 31, 2011 #7 Posted January 31, 2011 Yep, on the R143/160, the route letter is always orange. OK, my point earlier was that it doesn't always correspond to the route color.
4P3607 Posted January 31, 2011 #8 Posted January 31, 2011 I saw this today too! I was on another R160 and I saw the LED sign, it was a red ! There were 3-4 R160's on the (which was via the 70(EE)) today.
