Looks like the N is 100% R160

The R68A are still on the (N) until the option order starts to be in service. When the option order and R160A-2 order is delivered, the (N) and (W) will be 100% R160 and the R68/R68A will transfer to the (:D, (D) and (Q) trains with some leftovers. Please, the R68/R68A will NOT be placed on the (G) line because the R68/R68A cannot have 6-cars.

Yes the (G) line WILL get R68/As. The (G) line is being transffer to CI yard because jamica yard is having troble maintaining their cars because they have too many. And the car maintainers at jamica yard dont know how to maintain R68/As. The mta would have to waste money to teach the crews how to maintain them. They will quialfeily queens blvd crews and maintainers for R160s later this year. And CI shops knows the R68s very well and CI crews are well quilafied to operate 68/As. And they are NOT transfering any R68/As to the (D) and (Qx) lines only the (B) line. The (D) has more than enough R68s and the (Q) is getting R160s. So once the (B) line becomes 100% R68/A you will see R68/As on the (G). Theres no where else they can go....

 

And the (G) line runs four cars of R46s btw.

R68 cars on the (G) doesnt sound right to me...... The R46s will still be there on the (G). The R68A cars could be transferred over to concourse yard to fill in the gap for the scrapped R40s and also for the (B) line as well along with some weekend/weekday put-ins on the (D) which I have seen before.

Ave. X can also host the (G) trains. Last time I checked Ave. X and CI have the ability to host and fix R46s...They WILL STAY. No plans on destroying the R46s in (MTA)'s views.

 

That would also help with the extension of the (G) to church ave coming soon.

Speak of the devil (Q)uincy crews are getting R160 qualified...

 

lol. I will use the law of syllogism (some logical math laws that they taught in school today) to explain this further:

 

R160 (Q) => negation of R68 on the line => R68As (B)

 

In conclusion

 

 

R160 (Q) ==> MORE R68A;S (B)

Okay. So some people just don't understand. So let's be clear:

 

The (G) will not receive R68/R68A. They will keep the R46 and possibly some R32 later this year when it gets extended to Church Avenue.

 

The remaining R68/R68A will transfer to the (B) line when they scrap the R40 Slants this year. Besides, there would not be enough cars to transfer to the (G) anyway.

 

And isn't the R46 cars stationed in Coney Island anyway?

Yes the (G) will get some R68/As THE (Q)(N) AND (W) LINES WILL BE 100% R160. There will be more than enough leftover sets for the (G). And ALL R46s are maintiained at jamica yard CI yard is not assagined any R46s they only lay up there. And you really got be smoking something to say that they will put R32s on the (G). The R32s is not even OPTO combiable you dont make any sence. everyone and their mother knows that R32s are not OPTO combiable.

The (G) line will only go as far as court SQ so it wont make any sence for G line equipment to still be maintained by jmaica yard. When the (B) line becomes 100% R68/A will will start seeing four car sets on the (G).

 

And the R160/179s will take the R46s place on queens blvd....

Where are you getting that the R46s are going on the (A) and (C) lines? And even if they are transferring the R46s to the (A) and (C), that won't happen until the next few years. Until then the R68/R68As will not transfer anytime soon!

OMG its been posted 1223333758 times that the r46s are going to the (A) and (C) lines. While the R160s will take their place. And R68/A wont transfer anytime soon????? And i never said that it wil happen soon i said it will happen when the (B) line becomes 100% R68/A..

Correction, The R179s are replacing the R44s. As for your R46s going to the (A) and (C), are you nuts? The orders of the R160s have not been completed as of yet, only one base order. It is too early to determine where these cars will be heading to, since the R160s are only intended to replace the R32/38/40/42 cars. Also, certain things that are posted arent 100% true. There is no official word on anything of the R46s yet, but on the R44 only with the arrival of the R179s in the years to come

 

As for the R160s, they wont be replacing the R46s...........only the R32s

When the R160s get to queens blvd they will bump the 46s over to the (A) and (C) lines. Just like what the 160s is doing to the 68s on the (N) bumping them over to the (:rolleyes: line. I never said that the R160 was retiring the R46 i said that they will bump the over to the (A) and (C) lines. Queens blvd will get R160s the 320 option order cars from atlsom and some kawasaki cars. And maybe even some R179s....

The only reason R68As are bumping over to the (:rolleyes: is because the (B) had those cars before in the past, just like how the (W) had a mixed fleet of R68A and R40s on its first appearance.

 

Then again, the R46s Pre-GO did have an appearance on the (A) line before.

 

The only way to really find out about whats going to happen is to just wait and see
