But its not. Cellphones can be located anywhere in the nation with any area code (theoretically). I have a 347 area code but I'm in Philadelphia's 610 area.

Sigh. I remember the days when New Jersey was 201 and 609 and New York City was 212. Those were the days of New Jersey Bell and New York Telephone And Telegraph.
