TCAT 65 Posted March 9, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted March 9, 2011 It does have a roof HVAC, right in the middle of the bus, just like the LFSA.
NovaBus 5121 Posted March 9, 2011 Share #5 Posted March 9, 2011 Nice shot and catch. Is it just me or it seems to me that the front section of the bus compared to the rest of the bus is two different shades of white? I'm a bit confused on that one. D.J. Posted March 9, 2011 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2011 lol for some odd reason this bus appears more of a box than the LFSA Lol let me shut up, that's a nice catch!
Bus Guy Posted March 9, 2011 Share #7 Posted March 9, 2011 Nice shot and catch. Is it just me or it seems to me that the front section of the bus compared to the rest of the bus is two different shades of white? I'm a bit confused on that one. Its plastic wrap as seen here: http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/images/c/ce/York_Region_Transit_novalfx.jpg and without http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/images/d/d4/VIVA_1083-a.jpg and that is the LFX model, has the LFSA but with roof flairs

Bus Guy Posted March 11, 2011 Share #15 Posted March 11, 2011 Good one, but the front looks very strange! Is the front incomplete? Its just a covering to prevent damage during transit as seen here: http://www.cptdb.ca/wiki/images/c/ce...it_novalfx.jpg All companies do it. Dumb4life Posted March 11, 2011 Share #21 Posted March 11, 2011 One question, this is supposed to be a new bus for MTA? and If so, where is it supposed to go?
LRG Posted March 11, 2011 Share #22 Posted March 11, 2011 One question, this is supposed to be a new bus for MTA? and If so, where is it supposed to go? Yes these are 2011 units, as well as the first time the MTA is ordering 40' LFS for addition to their fleet. As for fleet assignment, I last heard Charleston (Staten Island), Ulmer Park (Brooklyn) and Queens Village are in for a treat.
trainfan22 Posted March 11, 2011 Share #23 Posted March 11, 2011 One question, this is supposed to be a new bus for MTA? and If so, where is it supposed to go? 1)Yes 2)busfans have been speculating about the assignments of these buses, AFAIK no one knows the assignments of these buses for sure, on these message boards that is. If I was a betting man I'd say Ulmer Park would be one of the depots. And maybe QV, FP or 126th...
